Am 8. Habanos Festival wird bekanntlich unter anderem das 40jährige Bestehen von Cohiba gefeiert. Prensa Latina schreibt unter «Sculpture for Cohiba Havana Cigar«, dass der renommierte kubanische Künstler Raul Valladares zu Ehren des Jubiläums eine Skulptur geschaffen habe, die am Ende des Festivals versteigert werde:

Havana, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) Prestigious Cuban silversmith and sculptor Raul Valladares, creator of the statuette that identifies the «Havana Cigar Prize of the Year,» stated Tuesday he has finished a special piece for the 40 years of the Cohiba brand.

Valladares told Prensa Latina he suggested the finished work be auctioned at the closing of the 8th Havana Cigar Festival.

Nearly one thousand people from 60 countries have already confirmed their attendance at this new edition, which will be held February 27-March 3 in this capital, the event´s organizing committee informed.
