Die Zigarren im Robusto- und Toro-Format sind boxpressed – sie haben also eine leicht eckige Form – und werden einen würzigeren Blend haben als die Formate der Stammlinie. Das Magazin Cigar Aficionado schreibt:

While Davidoff is not divulging all the details on Davidoff Nicaragua Box Pressed until February, the company did say that the blend differs from its predecessor in two major facets. Firstly, it will be draped in a Habano Nicaragua Oscuro wrapper (Davidoff Nicaragua is covered in a lighter-hued, Cuban-seed Rosado leaf), and secondly, the blend sports some ligero that was cultivated from Estelí. The filler and binder components, like Davidoff Nicaragua, hail from Jalapa, Condega and the volcanic soil of Ometepe, Nicaragua’s major tobacco growing regions.
